The New Lowell Run for Fun will start Monday, April 25 and occur Monday, Wednesday, and Friday each week for six weeks. The full schedule can be seen below.
Run for Fun is a program to encourage physical activity for all students, in a supportive, non-competitive environment. We will run three times a week beginning at 8:15 a.m. finishing with a stretch around 8:45.
Particpants will be encouraged to set a personal goal to complete 42 kilometeters - the equivalent of a marathon - by the end of the Run for Fun.
All students from grade 1 to 8 are encouraged to particpate and to bring family members along. Kindergarten students are also welcome to join, but we ask a family member to join for each day.
No supervision will be provided before the 8:15 a.m. start time.
Run for Fun will be cancelled for inclement weather, such as thunder and lightning. It will still run in the event of light rain.

Parent volunteers are needed to help make our Run for Fun a success! We need adults to help count laps, track distances, and run with the kids.
